Criticism Of Trump's Tweets As A Defense

Attorney General William Barr has decided to defend his own role as lead defender of Donald Trump's criminal actions by saying that Trump's tweets make it impossible for him to do his job.  That's quite an exaggeration considering that all Mr. Barr had to do in order to do his job was to avoid interfering in the normal day-to-day operations of the Department of Justice.  William Barr is working for a mob boss and he's filling the role just the way you would expect from a mob boss underling.  He's completely afraid, knowing full well that he's done something not only illegal, but also uniquely in opposition to the democracy that we have created and championed around the world for so long.  He knows that if he lets that fear show then everyone who he has allied himself with will destroy him.  Barr is just trying to stay alive in the Trump world where everyone below you and everyone above you is waiting for the opportunity to attack you as soon as you fail to distort the truth enough to defend Trump.  Trumpism writes pre-emptive obituaries each and every day for all of Trump's loyalists, knowing that at some point all Trump loyalists will be inclined to either do the right thing and speak out against Trump or be forced to resign.  Barr's statements are a weak defense and he knows very well that he has done something wrong and something for which he could be tried and found guilty in court.  

We've strayed quite a distance from Barr's confirmation testimony in front of the Senate and this is not the first time.  

These are the statements of a man who knows the law enough to know what he needs to say in order to maintain the illusion of justice while completely ignoring the vast foundation of laws and guidelines that our real system of justice are based upon.
