If only the Fox News viewers could hear this message, it would be some necessary medicine. If Fox News viewers could have the truth many months ago, the sedition at the Capitol Building likely wouldn't have ever happened. It will take time to ease Fox News viewers back to reality, but the longer Fox News is willing and able to continue immersing viewers in an alternative reality, the longer we'll continue to hear domestic terrorism alerts such as the one that was issued today by the Department of Homeland Security. This is what donald trump has brought us to. This is the apex of trump's campaign to turn Americans on one another.

If you don't say anything, you'll be missing an important opportunity to help others and help your country. You may be the only one who is able to stop them. Covid-19 is deadly, but the republican party is becoming its human equivalent. First the state Republican for Arizona has voted to punish the only brave voices they have in the fight against trump's corruption and cowardice through censure.
Now, the state Republican party for Oregon has adopted trumpism. The Oregonian GOP is all on-board with conjuring horrible, painful lies in order to make donald trump look good. Even though trump is gone from power and even though his voice online has been reduced greatly, he still has the Republicans trembling to cross him. They have become full-on Nazis.
This news comes on the same day in which most of the Republican senators voted to strike down impeachment proceedings against trump on the grounds that they don't believe its constitutional since he is no longer the President. The people can see through their partisanship. There are only 5 honest and true Republican senators left in the Republican party: Romney, Sasse, Collins, Murkowski and Toomey. The other 45, including McConnell and the originator of the motion to dismiss the impeachment proceedings, Rand Paul, will mold themselves and twist themselves into whatever the trump family tells them.
All of this loyalty to trump, the ex-president, comes despite news that trump's actions to overturn the election so that Biden wouldn't be sworn in were greater than previously known.
Although the Democrats have the presidency and they remain loyal to the Constitution and to Democracy, the USA remains in a dangerous position. With a voting system that doesn't facilitate new political parties, we can't easily replace one of the existing parties. Thus having one party embrace Nazism, lies, foreign interference, etc. we have an unstable and unbalanced political system with a cloudy future. On a positive note, there is hope for our election system to change, state-by-state as Alaska has, which would help ensure that the rot and corruption that is entrenched in the Republican party has a reduced chance of taking over the country.
It is a matter of grave importance that the Democrats pick up seats in the House of Representatives and the Senate during the mid-term elections in the Fall of 2022. A Democratic super-majority is needed in order to pass strong laws against the legacy of corruption and emoluments that trump has left us with.
Amidst talk of how difficult it is to charge individuals involved in the insurrection with the serious crimes of which most appear guilty, too much attention is being paid to the mindset and intent of each individual. Analyzing the mindset of an individual in a riot in order to determine the individual's intent doesn't reveal anything. By their merely being involved in a riot, a rioter has surrendered their decision-making and their individual goals to the decision-making of the group and the goals of the group. What each individual would do alone is no longer relevant in a riot situation. For this reason, every person who can be shown to have participated in any part of the storming of the Capitol building should be charged with conspiracy to commit murder. We know that the goals of the group were to murder Pence and every member of Congress. We know this because there were numerous individuals who came prepared to do that, with guns, gallows, soft handcuffs, bear spray, tasers, knives and other weapons. The group was there to gut the elected Congress of the USA. Any individuals who didn't want to take part in murder certainly had the opportunity to leave and most all of them chose not to do so. They knew there was a desire for violence in their group and they knew that they were aiding and abetting that violence by being present. If any of them had a desire for peaceful protest, they surrendered that desire to the group's desire for violence. Sociologists can testify to this. There is scientific evidence to justify the strongest possible charges for every person who entered the Capitol building. Charge them all with conspiracy to commit murder and convict them.
Following the insurrection at the Capitol last week, it's disheartening to learn of the members of Congress (so far, mostly democrats who wore masks) who have become infected with Covid-19. Representatives Bonnie Watson Coleman, Pramila Jayapal and Brad Schneider have all become infected with covid-19 after sheltering from the insurrectionists with Republicans who refused to wear masks. Some of them even laughed at Democrats who were handing out masks. This is a good opportunity to point of some of the human flaws so common in Republicans in Congress at this moment in history.
Republicans such as Matt Gaetz will kindly sport a gas mask, at least temporarily, in order to make some kind of statement which they're not really able to form into words. The gas mask stunt is symbolic for this inability to express themselves when it matters and perhaps that's why they've become married to all things untrue. They can't say what they mean and they don't know what they mean, so lies seem to be effective in some way. Laughing at members of the other party is another way for them to express themselves without having to use complete sentences that form complete thoughts. Perhaps the best way to heal as a nation is to impose some type of basic communication test on anyone seeking office. Until then, we can expect to find half of the country identifying with hyenas and our policies as a nation will reflect that level of consideration.
The devil's pact the GOP has made with donald trump is in its final phase. Since it's not over yet, trump isn't likely to be removed from office. The final stage? The pardons, of course. Any low-life, undeserving, hyper-partisan, alt-right figure the republicans want to set free is on the table. All they have to do is ask. trump will oblige, gratefully. He'll be grateful for the opportunity to show that he's willing to please his unethical base and he'll be grateful for the opportunity to complete his term. And so, he'll oblige. Cover your eyes because the list of pardons that's coming is going to be disgusting and it will embarrass the country and cause shock around the world. That's how trump likes it.
Calls for invoking the 25th amendment to remove donald trump from office have been widespread. National politicians, state politicians, city leaders around the country, former government officials, newspaper columnists, editorial boards, even business groups and more have all called for the removal of trump from office and the complete list of people and entities that want this man gone from power immediately is too long to include here. The problem is that resignations among the cabinet are mounting at the same time, and so it's probable that there won't be any invocation of the 25th amendment. Who will be left to invoke it? Four years of cowardice from the republican party has left them a great deal of practice in quitting in order to show their disapproval, but that's not what this situation calls for. It calls for COORDINATION amongst LEADERS to ACT and REMOVE trump IMMEDIATELY! The insurrection at the US Capitol building made trump's treason real for the republicans. The sad part is that making it real for the republicans doesn't make them as brave as the situation calls for. Pray for the USA while we await a return to real leadership that will come only when Joe Biden assumes the presidency on Wednesday, January 20th, 2021.
The fruit of donald trump's lies materialized today on the grounds of the Capitol building. The people's property suffered damage, all US Senators and Representatives were threatened, as was the Vice President. trump's drone army is armed with disinformation and the confidence of his backing in their war against their country. This danger will not disappear until donald trump leaves or is removed from office. He will not communicate a message to stop without contradicting himself in the same message. Every message from him will be a mixed message and his human drones will continue to look for the part of the message that they like and find their own interpretation of their instructions from him. This is beyond criminal. The entire trump family should be in jail right now and our democracy is in danger as long as they are free. While trump loves the gold of his tower in New York, he has turned the people's buildings into a game of jenga that he can command the drone army to knock over at any moment. Brace yourselves until election day and pray for the USA.
